Lets be honest here all the players of every nation are interested in are kicking a football at the biggest sporting tournament in the world. The thought of players getting booked or even sent off isn't a thought in there mind. All the politics about how much we care about LGBTQ and other stuff is secondary.

Well we are about to find out the answer to that one. Everyone appears to have rolled over as your point suggests but I’m holding on to a little belief that there will be some integrity somewhere.

How that might manifest itself would be an interesting watch, but at the moment if no one puts their heads above the parapet just feel like the lot of them can get fucked.

FIFA don't care what's being reported though, they've already made that quite plain before the tournament started (and since they awarded Qatar the world cup). They care what can be seen on the pitch, and that will be acquiescence to theirs and Qatar's rules.

Very true. They seem utterly bemused as to why so many people are criticising them. Which isn't a surprise if you don't have a moral compass and are purely motivated by £££ and greed at the expense of anything and everything else.

Qatar and FIFA can ignore any bad publicity away from the pitch but once it’s on the pitch it is there for the world to see and they can’t have that. That’s why the rainbow armband is so controversial. I’d hoped we’d take one yellow for it, just so the message gets out. Maybe put it on in added time so the player with it isn’t at risk of a second yellow?

They're classing it as an equipment breach, rather than a political statement. They'd be asked to leave the field to correct the breach, and then be booked upon re-entering should it not be 'fixed'.
