Thought we were the better side throughout and playing against 12 men for most. Referee was absolutely abysmal.

Can’t blame Southgate who I’d be happy to stay on, which is a complete turnaround to how I felt before the tournament. Can’t blame Kane either. So much pressure on one blokes shoulders and 9 times out of 10 he scores.

Dunno about all that. Takes some doing to make Foden disappear, and for all of England’s good play, Foden was horribly miscast today. Could have made a difference, wasn’t really allowed to.

Definitely a case of “careful what you wish for”. There’s way worse out there than Southgate, IMO.

Whilst I think England probably edged it overall, the difference today was summed up with the Griezmann cross for Giroud's goal compared to some of the crosses Shaw et al were putting in towards the end.
