A lot of the reaction I am getting reminds me why every other nation hopes you lose every game at rugby

Very sanctimonious the amount of crap that we get the moment we go out of a major tournament is off the scale. We have to put up with it. To be fair nobody’s laughed at Wales on here just pointed out their deficiencies.

Dealing with the vitriol that comes with failing to capitalize on that talent is part and parcel with sport in general, not just some anti-England sentiment.

You can’t then as a fan of a home nation then stamp your feet when it comes the other way and claim arrogance.

All in the wording where things are taken out of context. If you say “we’ve got a chance” or “I think we could possibly” rapidly gets translated to “he thinks they’ll definitely win it”
Difference with arrogance is when you become dismissive of the opponents.

Anyway, is it just me that thinks Senegal will be a tough nut? Watching them earlier, they look very quick, athletic and full of energy, similar to the USA, the kind of teams that we struggle against.

They will be I think Gueye is suspended so that’s a big loss for them.
Even still I don’t expect it to be a comfortable night.

It's the kind of game that'll be tough if we let it be. Not a game to try and manage ourselves through, just go out there and win it. Would worry me if they had Mane. We do tend to get through these type of games though.
