But what has Kieffer Moore who was born and brought up in England got.to do with how many people are in Wales? One grand parent could have 8 male grand kids all eligible but they don't count towards the population of Wales if they are born and live in England.

This is a weird argument to me. If Moore was good enough to get called by England, who do you think he’d have caps for right now? Probably not Wales.

I have no problems with the grandparent rule being used, but if you’re going to utilise then it pretty much blows the population stat away means you’re not picking from as small a pool as it looks.

I don't think it's an issue, I have no problem with the system just the correlation to the population of Wales as the system massively increases the eligible player pool.
