The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

2 circular holes. Lot at the top. I’d say your theory is 100% correct. It’s the legs out of the side of a truck pushing into the pavement when it uses its crane to offload something.

Think it's more likely someone has backed into a bollard or streetlight, that's cracked the adjacent pavers and then someone has removed the knackered item leaving an empty hole.

I hope the football is more shit than in South Africa personally. Want this sort of thing stone dead forever in the words of Lemmy Kilminster.

Don't wish that on us. I'm glad the whole thing is a farce but I want to matches to be good as a viewer.

It's doubtful this experiment will ever be repeated.

With any luck the Qatari team will get absolutely smashed in all of their matches. No way they qualify for the tournament outside of it being held there.

Expensive Pepsi all round for England fans then. No booze permitted anywhere..

My perfect match day...

Seems some beer may be available in the ground if you are in a suite (which cost around £24,000 to use)

Alcohol will still be available in corporate sections apparently.

Don’t worry they’re going to be selling Bud zero for the poor folk

Apparently Ind Bev aren't going to kick up a fuss publicly as the majority of the value of the sponsorship is in the commerciality rather than the beer sales, particularly for this World Cup

I suspect that probably will have some veracity about it, but publishing it without incontrovertible proof is one hell of a risk.
