The NFL Thread

Rodgers last week seemed particularly focused that he wouldn't, escaping the pocket way earlier than he would have done ordinarily
He's always tried to distance himself from Favre so taking the record breaking sack the same way he did wouldn't sit well.

Carolina is in 🤣

Watch them make a completely inexplicable run to the NFC Championship Game now. Sport is so stupid sometimes I love it

Steelers defence is still good but struggling against Derrick Henry. They have no run game of their own meaning Aaron Rodgers has to win the game by himself - 10 years ago he could do that but he's not that man any more. He's lost a yard of pace, long throws are inaccurate, and his WRs dont help.

Edit.
Well that changed. The Steelers can stop Henry, they do have a run game of their own, and Rodgers can make meaningful throws to his WRs. Neither side has a 4thQ pass defence, but the Steelers miss an XP and then the Ravens miss a game winning FG as time expires. 26-24.

Some quality match ups for Wild Card weekend, expect expect for Saturday games to be comfortable wins for the Bears and Rams, but the other 4 could go either way

That's what I'd predict too in isolation, but I think one of the 6th seeds will win, hopefully the Bills.

Pete Carroll gone from the Raiders.

Jonathan Gannon now gone from the Cardinals too.

Looking forward to Jags-Bills, I would say 60-40 or 55-45 Jags.
If Josh Allen (not Josh Hines-Allen) has the kind of game he often has in the play-offs, then the Bills win. If he doesn't put on his cape, the rest of the Bills roster (aside from James Cook) make it a toss-up. Worth noting the teams the Jags have beaten in their 8 game winning run aren't exactly a murderer's row. Titans twice, Colts in free fall twice, Cardinals, and Jets. They have beaten the Broncos and the Chargers which are clearly good results, but they got destroyed by the Rams and needed overtime to eek out a 1 point win against the Raiders.

That said the Bills have lost to the Dolphins and Falcons this season, so there's that.

I know Vegas were fucking awful but I sure didn’t expect them to pull the trigger on Carroll after just one season.
