It’s incredible. This town has taken to Charlotte FC, and the Hornets go beyond sport (and they have to, given they’ve been absolutely terrible for my entire life); Charlotteans care about nothing like they care about the Panthers.

You can feel the years of ineptitude being shed in the air. It’s something else. A real jurisdictional catharsis.
