Colts QB Richardson apparently took himself out of the game for a play because he was tired. In nearly 40 years of watching the NFL I don't think I've ever known a QB do that before. Not a great look for a 'franchise QB'.

I'm making the trip to Indianapolis for the Colts/Bills game. I don't want it to be close! I want it to be an absolute shellacking so that midway through the 3rd quarter I can relax and enjoy it with several thousand of the Bills Mafia, while Lucas Oil Stadium empties itself of Colts fans.

Richardson benched. Obviously the play off won't have helped and I'm sure was part of the thinking, but it seems that the primary driver is the desire to win games. Listening to the Heed The Call podcast they would have comfortably won on Sunday with Flacco

Watched Richardson on Sunday, he was mostly poor and the decision to skip a play was unforgivable, but he does always have the ability to find an open receiver 60 yards downfield - something he does every time he plays the Texans.

I don't agree that Flacco would have comfortably won that game for the Colts. It was a typical Texans game - take the lead, let the other team back in, then do just enough to win the game in the last minute.

Anyway, I will be spending Halloween evening watching the 6-2 Texans as underdogs against the 2-6 Jets. With Stefon Diggs out for the season, Nico Collins still not back from injury, and the backup RB missing it is going to be a long night for Joe Mixon. And with several defensive players out, not at all easy. Last second field goal to decide it.

The Vikings have stalled now - offence struggling and now lost Darrisaw for the season which will make things harder. I didn't expect they would challenge this season but after starting the season 5-0 it would be a very poor run to miss the play offs. Need a win on MNF after back to back losses, looks like the Darnold redemption story is coming to it's end.

Vikings were definitely the best team the Texans have played this season. Darnold, his offense, the defense, we were completely outplayed in every part of the game. The part that most stood out to me was that Kevin O'Connell was the youngest most relaxed HC I have ever seen. Nothing seemed to faze him.

No team goes unbeaten all season. Losing by 2 points to the Lions, and then to the Rams is no reason to worry. You should easily make the playoffs.

Should make the play offs after that start but also in a hard division where everyone has a good record, the 2 losses was preceded by a fortunate win Vs the Jets which would have been a loss had it not been for a routine field goal which they missed. I think the Vikings will be on the road in the play offs and I don't trust them to be able to win tough road games in January. I think objectively they aren't ready to challenge for a superbowl, and I think Darnold will do enough to get a good contract somewhere and the Vikings will just move onto McCarthy next season.

It’s kind of funny that they’ve actually converged significantly over my lifetime, though it’s always shifting. The kickoffs in the League this year are an easy example of them diverging again.

You can’t overstate how few CFB players become NFL ones. Think I’ve said it before, but there’s a line of thinking about it I really like:

In CFB, most teams have one guy that can ruin your day. In the NFL, every guy was that guy in college.

I gave up trying to understand Texas Christians ages ago but that mascot is legendary for reasons purposeful and accidental. Love that weird shit. Shout outs to TCU alum Andy Dalton.
