Richard Sherman really went off last night; basically accused the defense of wanting Allen fired. Now, I don’t know about all that, but three things:
Frankly, I can’t dismiss Sherman’s insights; he’s mad intelligent
Purposefully giving up or not, Allen’s defenses have been shockingly undisciplined and, as Dan would say, have the “heart of a pea”; that’s on Allen regardless of whether the team has quit on him
Coaches who seemingly got short-changed in Oakland have almost never improved elsewhere. Weirdly Lane Kiffin might be the exception, though obviously he’s found his stride in CFB (shout outs to Lane btw)
