Richard Sherman really went off last night; basically accused the defense of wanting Allen fired. Now, I don’t know about all that, but three things:

1. Frankly, I can’t dismiss Sherman’s insights; he’s mad intelligent
2. Purposefully giving up or not, Allen’s defenses have been shockingly undisciplined and, as Dan would say, have the “heart of a pea”; that’s on Allen regardless of whether the team has quit on him
3. Coaches who seemingly got short-changed in Oakland have almost never improved elsewhere. Weirdly Lane Kiffin might be the exception, though obviously he’s found his stride in CFB (shout outs to Lane btw)

Best possible news for the Cleveland Browns and in particular Kevin Stefanski. Deshaun Watson carted off and has likely done his achilles and will be out for the year.

Short of Stefanski growing a pair and sticking it to his owners by benching Watson. This was the only other chance for the Browns and the NFL to end the whole Watson debacle and slowly let him drift off into obscurity where he belongs.

Tua’s been pushing for it. I respect his agency and adore him, but man. Such an extreme gamble.
