The NFL Thread

Obviously Louisiana voted for Trump otherwise he'd be nowhere near it (pretty sure it's back in LA next year so no way he attends there).

He also hates Swift so it'd be quite amusing if they ignore him and constantly show just her instead.

Yeah it's back at Sofi in 2027, no way he attends a game in California.

As a nominal 49ers fan it's extremely annoying that one of their best players is a MAGA twat, though not surprising.

Be worse if it was someone like Kittle who seems like a fairly genuine nice bloke.

No, Trump being there is fantastic. No way Kendrick doesn’t call him out at halftime.

Him storming out at halftime would be a sight to behold. No way he actually sits anywhere where he can be seen during halftime though, I doubt he'll even watch it.

Eagles @ Rams in Melbourne in 2026. Even with a post game bye that's going to tough logistically with a 24hr flight in there along with a 16 or 8 hour time difference depending how you look at it.
Rams confirmed, but won't be vs Eagles

Justice for Direwolf as Allen wins MVP, Kevin O'Connell coach of the year. And in the least surprising thing ever Saquon wins the offensive player award.

Jayden Daniels rookie of the year and Patrick Surtain wins the defensive award.

So by my reckoning at least 2 people voted Lamar Allpro, but Allen MVP they should have their accreditation took off them.

Sorry Dire, but that's as contrived and cynical as you can get. Not Allen, obviously he's being genuine, but the team filming it and and putting it out. Should have been his moment on his own, not one to showcase

That’s Dire’s Derrick Henry theorem at work I suppose.

The All-Pro vote and the MVP vote are and should be different. Jackson had a great season, deservedly first team all-pro. Who was unquestionably the player most valuable to their team for the success their team achieved? 100% Allen. And I'm surprised and pleased that the people voting for the awards were intelligent enough to recognise that difference.

I don't have an issue with Allen winning it, the eye test told me he deserved it, but that's absolute poppycock. It's the leagues most valuable player, not the most valuable to an individual team, which if it were it still wouldn't be Allen.

As it's a QB award the best QB should be the MVP and the Allpro is supposed to also be the best QB

I think you're wrong, but it's opinions.

Edit: I'm guessing you believe Saquon was the player most valuable to his team, and that's a good shout. But answer this: take Allen, Saquon and Jackson out of their respective teams and how many wins do those teams get? The Bills win a maximum of 5 games without Josh Allen. I'd bet the Ravens and Eagles could both still win 9-10 games without Jackson and Saquon. The Eagles have the best overall roster in the NFL and the Ravens would still win 8+ games with someone handing the ball off to Derrick Henry 30 times a game.
