The NFL Thread

And Manning v Brady today... I sincerely hope the Broncos pound the Patriots into the dirt. Bye week for the Bills so I get to spend my time supporting whoever plays the Patriots and Dolphins. Bizarrely I hope the Jets win this week as they play the Chiefs who are potential wildcard rivals for the Bills. That makes me feel dirty...

Oppurtunity for the Vikings to win today in a home game vs the Redskins with RG3 only just returning to fitness, That would mean 4-5 into bye week next week which wouldn't be bad progress at all considering the record for last season was 5-10-1

Recorded the Steelers game last night and just watched it without having the score ruined for me. Brilliant. First time this season I've felt like I'm watching a proper Pittsburgh Steelers defence with James Harrison tearing around. He was unstoppable last night.

Roethlisberger throws for another 6 touchdowns. That's 12 in 2 weeks. Unreal.

AFC play-off race looks pretty tasty now.

Big Ben is on fire at the moment. Good win for the Vikings yesterday with Matt Asiata running in 3 touchdowns. The defence now leading the NFL with 30 sacks so at least that side of it is promising.

On a fantasy note I'm pretty pissed that special teams doesn't count when Edelman ran in an 84 yard punt return for a TD

Good game from Bridgewater too and the McKinnon Asiata pairing is getting better,

Rumours that Peterson could be cleared to play again soon, saw one report he's a possibility for the Chicago Bears game after the bye week.

I don't think it's likely but not impossible to grab a wildcard spot, currently 9th in NFC.

I don't think Bridgewater is good enough for that yet but with a good defence you never know, I'm going to watch it back later but stats wise looks like Teddy did OK, 0 interceptions for the second week in a row is good.

Peterson will make a big difference if he plays again this season, and the o-line looked better Sunday so hopefully that keeps up because Bridgewater has had no protection really.

The teams for next year's London games supposedly announced after 3pm on Sky Sports.

Cheers, will keep an eye out.

New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins - Oct 4th
Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Oct 25th
Detroit Lions @ Kansas City Chiefs - Nov 1st

Looking forward to seeing the Bills.

Detroit and Kansas City should be a very good game.

I follow the Washington team* yes

*we got bollocked on Etsy for selling their official merchandise using the full team name.

Would love to see RGIII and co. play in the flesh.

Dolphins, Jaguars and Lions all back over.... Underwhelmed!

They send the Jags over all the time because they can't sell out at home.

Kind of annoying to send the same teams over again, still will try and get to one next year I think

The Jags have a contract to play over here up to and including 2016.

Rumours on a Bills forum that the Jags v Bills game next year will be one of the London games. One wit suggested that if that game sells out then we really are deserving of a London franchise! Set me thinking, which teams would you really not want to see in London? Obviously I'd move heaven and earth to see the Bills, but I would get why that might not appeal to many people after 15 years of fail (though Sammy Watkins could change people's perception of the Bills, dude is a bona fide superstar in the making). I can't imagine anything worse than a Jags v Titans game, there would be no way that matchup would sell out, surely!?

Boom! Called it a week ago. I am super, super excited to see the Bills play a meaningful game live. Plans are already afoot!
