The NFL Thread

We're down in London now, heading for Wembley around half 10. Lots of Falcons out and about in London from what we've seen tonight. Didn't see many Lions fans. My better half and I will both be supporting the Lions while flaunting our Bills gear... Really hope Megatron is fit to play.

Apparently he'll play but only a bit part.

As a decoy I'd imagine though. I expect Golden Tate to have a good game, along with Joique Bell too.

Toon. We're out on the beer now. Sherlock Holmes Pub near Trafalgar Square at the mo. Fan park tomorrow about 10 and will be having a beer outside Moore Spice / Hooters about half 11

Got 2 kids and their grandmother with us so we've headed back to our appartment! Just us tomorrow for the game, hence the reason granny is here!

well the Moore Spice is really close to Wembley Stadium so feel free to have a look over about half 11... I'll be in a 6 Cutter Chicago Bears shirt next to my Redskins RGIII shirt wearing brother

I assume you meant Cutler there?!

I fancy the Bears to win tonight. Cutler's been ace on the road.

ha ha, yeah, Cuttler... predictive text!
I'm not so sure about the Bears this season as the defence is a bit suspect and down to the bare bones. I also saw what the Dolphins did the the Raiders last month.
If you're about it would be meet up for a beer though Bear

They've got the Patriots tonight.

Not sure if we're about after the game as we're not stopping over for this one.

Yeah just realised I got my teams wrong. Dolphins were last week.
I meant before....what time will you be down?

Ryan could have wrapped up the game taking time off the clock and making it at least a 3 score game. Unbelievably poor interception.

That was a good game between the Ravens & the Bengals, the result didn't go the way I wanted but it was really enjoyable.

Vikings win in overtime, it wasn't pretty at all but a win is a win and Teddy looked a bit more comfortable.

Awesome day out at Wembley, and a terrific game to boot. Really a game of 2 halves. Thoroughly enjoyable, we'll definitely be going again.

Even better to get back to where we are staying to find that the Bills completely demolished the Jets. Geno Smith intercepted on 3 of his first 4 drives, replaced by Vick who also turned the ball over 3 times, including 2 fumbles on sacks. This Bills defense is for real, and really are playing like one of the best in the NFL right now. They lead the league in sacks and turnovers, are number 1 in rush defense and top 5 on 3rd down. They are nasty and opportunistic and will be the key to their playoff chances. I feel cautiously optimistic.

Oh and Sammy Watkins is already a star. But watch out NFL, he is primed to be the next big thing at WR, what a talent. What a talent. Only 3 catches today but 157 yards and a TD. 2 weeks running he's cracked 100 yards. Love him, man crush style.

Did you see him start celebrating too early and get taken down a few yards from the end zone? Funny stuff

Heard about it. Learned quickly as he subsequently ran in a 61 yard TD reception. Rookie mistake I guarantee he won't make again.

How would those in the UK that have a team - Bills, Falcons, Bears 'skins are the ones that spring to mind feel about a London franchise? Would you switch allegiances as theoretically you could see them a minimum of 8 times a season or would you stay where you are? I'd wager the latter, therefore would you still go to Wembley a couple of times a year to watch a permanent home team that wasn't your own?

Difficult one really, would be interesting to see who they draft and who owns them. If it's a decent owner with decent management to start with then I think I'd give them a shot, if they look like they're playing at it then I don't think I would give them the time of day and stick to going once a year but only to see them get beat/ beat a division rival (NFC South for me)
