Jackson has fewer attempts because he has Derrick Henry. He is 2-5 when Henry has less than 90 rush yards. Put the game in Jacksons hands by stopping Henry and he hasn't done it. Henry IS the Ravens MVP.
Okie doke. I don't at all agree and think this is a wild take given what Jackson is capable of and regularly does.

You can not agree, it's all about opinions. Henry is an all-time top 5 RB, how you can ignore the effect that has on the way teams defend the Ravens is a bit baffling.

This is the thing though isn't it: Cook is good but he is putting up good numbers largely because defenses are playing to stop Allen. Jackson is putting up good numbers because teams are playing to stop Derrick Henry. That is fact. Defenses are stacking the box to stop Henry, and that opens up the passing attack a ton. On the flip side teams are playing shell coverage with light boxes to stop Allen and so Cook can make hay on the ground.
What's interesting to me about this is that Buffalo and Baltimore are still pass-first and run-first, respectively, despite defenses planning to stop exactly those strengths.

I do think you're taking an odd tack by not seeing either of Jackson's or Allen's scrambling ability as a benefit to the other phases of offensive play; both are absolutely incredible at extending plays that fall apart and at pretending to be a halfback for a play.

I'm not ignoring it, but it doesn't move the needle for me in this context. You don't go 41 TDs and 4 INTs just because you have a great running back on the team. In much the same way that Cook having Allen as QB didn't mean he'd rush for 1000+ yards (which he hasn't).

Tbf he has won 2 MVPs without him, although I don't disagree with your point.

What helps Henry in Baltimore and Saquon in Philly is the QB being mobile, not so easy to effectively stack the box if the QB is a genuine option too. Henry's 2k season with Tannehill as QB was probably more impressive than eithers this year for that reason

In Allen’s favor, Harbaugh is IMV an infinitely better coach than Sean “Started Nathan Peterman” McDermott.

In none Josh Allen news the Bucs won to secure their place in the playoffs (and eliminated the Falcons) and the Titans have the first overall draft pick thanks to the Bills not playing Josh Allen.

Aaaaaaagh! Went back to being Josh Allen news.

As I woke up wanting the RESULTS yes. It took until above for anyone to mention Tampa v Atlanta, plus Green Bay, all of which potentially affects my team. bollocks to MVP discussion

The Broncos looking like pretty much sowing up their playoff birth inside of 20 minutes if they get another score on this drive.

And they do with a ludicrous deflected pass, 21 to zip.

Jerod Mayo fired by the Pats apparently, went out with a win and fucked them over, so good on him.

Happened at Houston a couple of years ago too. No point watching the second half of this. KC earned the right to play this team, but it's a shame

Yeah I've just turned it off after that missed field goal.

Mike Vrabel the Pats number one target. Lots of interest in him apparently so obviously looking to get a head start in the rest.
