The NFL Thread

I feel like I've let myself in for a lot of disappointment but it's done now! Interested to see what Bridgewater is like when he gets a chance.

Tbh at the moment I'm enjoying watching any game that's on and trying to get to know players and the ins and outs of it more.

Do what I did and choose a team based entirely on uniform.

That's how I ended up with Wolves.

I surprised at how Flacco played in the Steelers game, he looked like a new player and the Steelers were quite woeful. The Steeler fans who actually made the trip to M&T Bank Stadium were leaving after the end of the 3rd Quarter.

The Bengals defence is really good this year and they could be the outsiders to win the play off's this season.

Bengals could be the only AFC team with a shot at beating the Broncos to the AFC Championship. They are the real deal IMO.

They're definitely playing some lights-out stuff. Not sold on Dalton just yet and Bernard may not be able to keep up his recent form.

I agree with that Alan, but Dalton can manage a game well and I like Bernard, but D's win Championships and that D is frightening. If they can keep them all out of jail then they could go all the way.

Not saying it will happen but a Panthers v Bengals Superbowl would not surprise me in the slightest. That Panthers defense is terrific. Still think the Seahawks are the NFC representatives though. It would be highly unlikely that the same 2 teams as last year make the Superbowl this year though. Not sure if it has ever happened. I know the Bills played the Cowboys in 2 Superbowls but I think they played the Redskins in between.

Edit: My mistake, it was Bills v Cowboys in 93 & 94, they played the Redskins in 92.

Panthers O-line is fucking dreadful. No way they get that far unless some serious gelling takes place.

Anyone in the NFL.com/uk fantasy leagues?

Not I. PTG is more than enough madness for me.

You pick a new "roster" every game week.

QB, 2x RB, 2x WR, TE, Defence, Kicker + wildcard from one of the Sky games.

It's actually quite decent.

Haven't heard of that one, I'm in a league with some people with a live draft before the start of the season which is fun.

I'm in one where I'm 0-2 and in both games I got a points total which would have beaten any other team in the league apart from my opponent :icon_evil:

I'm 1-1 but only won last week due to my opponent having RG3 as his QB

Falcons are absolutely killing the Buccs stone dead. 35-0 and it's not even half time.

Tampa have been awful both offensively and defensively. McCown is just about keeping them alive on drives, but his offensive line isn't protecting him so he's always throwing under pressure.

Defensively there's just holes everywhere. Barely any pressure on Ryan and WRs and TEs running wherever and whatever routes they want.

This is gonna be a brutal scoreline if it carries on the same in the 2nd half

14 - 56 win for the Falcons, a crazy scoreline!

Tampa really need a new defensive coach, I feel really sorry foe their QB as he had no protection and no one to throw to.

Still no excuse for the score line but the Buccs have quite a few injuries on defense at the moment,

Annointing Josh McCown as your starter was always going to be a gamble, he had a decent set of games last season filling in for Cutler, but overall he's been at best a servicable backup QB.

McCown will get the shaft for poor offensive line play. It happens so often.
