The NFL Thread

I don't think there's much between the Seahawks and the Niners, very similar teams in fact. As you say it's rare to win back-to-back so just might be the Niners year next year to represent the NFC. As for the AFC, this feels more open, I quite fancied the Bengals this year but they've got to sort out the QB situation.

My money's on the Saints out of the NFC. Mark Ingram finally playing as he should, the other running backs are no slouches, and second year under Rob Ryan's defense should make them formidable. San Fran isn't going anywhere with Colin Kaepernick masquerading as a QB.

Carolina, Cincy, Baltimore, and San Fran would all be scary good if they had quality quarterbacks.

Watch for Arizona out of the NFC West. They should dominate that division.

Looks like Christian Ponder is still going to be around next season for the Vikings :(

Hopefully as 3rd choice......

Jadeveon Clowney just ran a 4.47 40. That's unreal.

He's no D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

Damn, Biakabutuka is my go-to.

If only there were some way of finding out obscure facts using the internet....

Rumours are flying about Jim Harbaugh talking to the Cleveland Browns about taking over the head coach role.

Malcolm Smith of the Seahawks makes me smile...but you have to like Celebrity Juice to get the reference

They tried to trade a load of draft picks to SF in return for him, but it never went anywhere.

Has a coach been traded in for draft picks before?

A coach has never been part of a trade, no. Generally the feeling is that even if San Francisco had agreed to the deal, the NFL would have stepped in and scuppered it.

Good to see they are trying something different anyway need to because the last few years have been shite, a winning season (don't even have to make play offs) would be nice.

Vikings (team I follow) have been busy in free agency so far, agreed the re-signing of Matt Cassel, Marcus Sherels, Everson Griffen and signed Jasper Brinkley on a 1 year deal.

Also rumors they are going in for Alterraun Verner - From his wiki - "He was originally named for the planet Alderaan from the Star Wars movie, however his parents did not look up the correct spelling until after his birth certificate was notarized" :icon_lol: wtf

Fucking mental decision, that.
