The NFL Thread

Every Superbowl there seems to be a team I want to win (e.g. Chiefs) or a team I want to lose (e.g. any team with Tom Brady). This year feels weird, and I really don't mind who wins, just so long as it is a good game.
I'm going to go for the Rams, only because Matthew Stafford deserves it after all those losing years in Detroit.

I'd like the Bengals to win for numerous reasons, however I expect the Rams to do so. All those superstars are surely gonna turn up again after the conference championship, and that Bengals O-line is potential gonna be stuffed just like the Chief's was by Tampa last year.

I want the Bengals mainly for the cinderella story. Those traits that I'm sure will make Burrow look an arrogant wanker in years to come are still at the funny, no fucks given stage. If they do it'll be on him and his ability to not get killed by his oline again. Also can't stand McVay, media darling, but a coward of a play caller.

All that said I picked the Rams at the start of the season, so think they'll ultimately come through

I don't really mind who wins, I think the Rams most likely will. Which is fine, since Cooper Kupp seems like a pretty decent dude and Aaron Donald is, position for position, probably the best player in the NFL. That said, I like the way the Bengals have built through the draft and I generally prefer the AFC teams to win (unless it's the Patriots).

My word the BBC coverage is toe curlingly bad.

Sky's much better.

Bengals love a come back so I wouldn't write them off just yet

Not an NFL buff obviously, but having been flicking between the 2 have preferred the BBC. The Sky host is weird.

It's like watching Saturday Superstore. I can't think of any other support coverage where people's boring emails get read out. Wouldn't get that nonsense at HT in football or rugby coverage.

It doesn't help I can't stick squeaky voiced personality vacuum Nat Coombs or brainless shouty man Jason Day.

Sky coverage is as an actual sporting event.

That's a shame for Beckham. Rams are going to struggle now.

Half time show is a load of bollocks. Pepsi should be asking for their money back
