Super Bowl Sunday :) GO RAMS.

Will anyone be staying up to watch this one? I know Bear usually books the Monday off so that he can stay up to watch.

I'm off to get me tailgate food on the go :)
Yep I'm off work tomorrow. Looking forward to it. I hope Gurley turns up and the Rams give them a good game. Still can't see past a Pats win though.

Yeah I’ve got tomorrow off, more sensible than 2 weeks ago when I ended up watching the AFC championship game by mistake and getting 3 hours sleep before work.

Unfortunately think the Pats will find a way, a lot depends on Gurley’s fitness though.

Got a big audit at work in the morning so no way I can watch more than about the first quarter. A shame as I think it will be a decent game.

Really don't have to get up tomorrow morning, but still don't think that I can be bothered with a a 5+ hour programme to watch 1hr of action - not sure that this is the game for me

Not sure I can bring myself to watch the Patriots win another Superbowl, I just find them so boring and predictable. If the game is good and the Rams win I'll watch it tomorrow morning instead to see what I've missed.

The city of New Orleans is putting on a parade to begin at kickoff. Top banter.

Osi is a great laugh on BBC, not showing any bias at all....

Just said on air "I absolutely despise this football team and can't wait to see them get their faces rubbed in the dirt today".

Ha ha. No sitting on the fence!

Darlo not picking Edelman could be key here.

My understanding of the game is limited, but:

Close to half time, at 4 & 1, within FG range, surely you either take the shot at goal or have a running play?

The D commits to the run though and with Rams D line they could shut it down easily. So theoretically, in a pass play, you have 1 on 1 matchups elsewhere which you hope/expect your player to win. 3rd and short is pretty much always a passing down. And when you are going for it, 4th and short is just an extension of that.

The clock stops either way once there's a turnover on downs. Therefore pass or a run makes no difference to clock whether successful or not. Plus your more likely to reach the sidelines (and stop the clock) on a pass than a run.

Cheers gents. I'm learning as I go here, I've only really started watching this season and I don't get involved in the discussions while I don't really know what I'm talking about.

I'm not sure that applies anymore this season. We've seen all sorts. Even Brady making a leap to get the down and I'm quicker than him.

I'm surprised he didn't air it out to the end zone though. If you're going to go for it or lose the down and with Edelman getting open it should have been in his direction.

On another note, Maroon 5 are gash.

Moves Like Jagger is a bona fide Yossi. But it's nothing without Christina.

Bit too long for a sneak I think, I can’t remember but was more 1.5 than 1. Plus with Suh and Donald getting a push there’s no guarantee there, plus he’s open for injury.

They obviously wanted White but Rams took that away and then they got Gronk 1 on 1 but it got tipped. Fine margins isn’t it. But short inside to Gronk is probably the percentage play I’d say.

Adam Levine reminds me far too much of Kevin Pietersen, and I hate that prick.

I do still probably know more about Maroon 5 than I do the NFL, but I am trying to fix that.

Probably a fair call. With Littleton and Baron playing Gronk out of the game I'm not sure what is the percentage play in this game.

Goff looks overawed at the moment. He needs to fix that. I agree with that numpty Carlson that they should be running the ball more, without it the Pats are just bringing their safeties up and getting pressure through the middle.

They were slow against the Saints. I think Goff is very average (only young admittedly) but just has good coaching and an Elite RB.

With Gurley being a non factor, and coming up against BB he’s being exposed a little bit.
