The Music Thread Strikes Back

RHCP were fantastic, not as good as The Boss on Thursday night but still great. I know I said there'd be 50k but it was about 32k.....Still 32 thousand people moshing and signing by the way among other songs is some experience.

Saw Red Hot Chili Peppers years ago at City of Manchester. Was great. Anybody watching Isle of Wight on Sky Arts?

Yes Isle of wight on Sky arts was brilliant. Bruce Springsteen and East band was my favourite act

Hendrix live at Isle Of Wight was awesome the other night. I recorded it on my Sky box for posterity even though I have the DVD! Much easier to flick on quickly.

His version of Voodoo Chile at that gig has never been bettered IMO.

Yeah that's a bloody good cover.

And at the opposite end of the spectrum a great contemporary mashup:

Great chorus.

And talking of Hendrix, Jesus Christ this is incredible playing on Killing Floor:

Mitch Mitchell is going to town on those drums too!!

I can't imagine how this went down with people in the 60s, never mind now. I know from interviews that it absolutely blew Clapton away when he saw him do it.

So what do people think of Muse's new song, Survival?

I have to say I quite like it. Brilliantly over the top as usual.

I also like Tenacious D's latest album - Rize of the Fenix

"39" has some fantatstic NSFW lyrics:

Finally found this, it's been bugging me for weeks!

I could have told you the artist/title if you'd asked....

Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently live on youtube - makes for a good evening!

Ah balls. Shouldn't have gone to the pub. Chili's are putting on a good show.

Glastonbury tickets go on sale October 3rd.
