The Music Thread Strikes Back

I never even noticed this was the music thread!

I thought you meant the actual sport!

Was given tickets to go see American Football in Glasgow yesterday. Looking forward to it.
I'd never heard of them until I saw their gigs were selling out within hours of going on sale.

Excellent. That's just reminded me I need to get it on order before I forget! I have high hopes, they are one of the few bands that seems to get better as they get older.

they don't give that many 5 stars to be fair. though the new gaz coombes gets one as well.

will be looking to get my order in as well.

New Gaz Coombes? I'll have to check that one out.

Cheers for the CD Nimrod. Got back today to find it sitting on my doorstep. Will be giving a spin in the next few days.

Been giving this a blast this week.

A funkier & in a way more upbeat feeling to this mix contrasted with the previous couple of years. Dunno whether that relates to the state of things, culturally or not, but that's my impression.
Highlighted the stands outs.
Strong start to the cd, then a real blast of nice stuff continuing from around eagulls through to war on drugs. AYWKUBTTOTD track rocks, as does the Twilight Sad track.

ta LJ. didn't set out for a more upbeat nature when doing the cd, certainly not consciously. of course, can only put on the best of what I bought last yr.

only other feedback so far was from a mate on Friday saying he liked the BJM track. sure to get more back in time.

you had a good run from eagulls, 9 in a row from there, but a slow end to the CD. always interesting to hear what people like and there's always something a bit different to what I expect! all bold for me of course.
