The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2015/16

Brentford have approached Walsall for Dean Smith to take the vacant position.

I guess he doesn't expect it to last and has took the jump when his currency is at its highest.

I think he probably sees Brentford of a good step up and will back himself to get them challenging for the top 6 again, even if he got Walsall up this season he knows he'd be battling the drop year in year out.

They could save a packet on new training gear by appointing a manager with the same initials.

Whose currently looking for work and no compensation required, wonder if there's anyone out there?

There is a very definite ceiling at Walsall and it does not extend beyond League One. They just can't sustain Championship football, their record transfer fee is still Alan Buckley in 1979. Brentford are no giants but are better equipped off the pitch, it's just a better gig all round.

They'll struggle to replace Smith and you can easily see them sliding down the league, the budget they have is comparable more to league 2.

Looking at the notorious UTS they want Sean O'Driscol or Richard Money back.

Ideally one who would make his Saddlers debut at the ground of his former employees this coming Saturday

Can easily see them giving it to Richard O'Kelly until the end of the season unless Smith takes him to Brentford.

Mark Warburton rejects talk of leaving Rangers after link to Fulham vacancy.

Queens Park Rangers have opened talks with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink about becoming their new manager..
