The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

What is very obvious is that the standard of football we're seeing at Molineux the moment is a much, much higher standard than you get in that accursed division. We've been spoilt!!

The glory days when people used to claim the Championship was fun.

No it isn't.

Fans in going OTT when their team loses shocker!

I wonder if other fans read our forums and laugh at the amount of bollocks is spouted when we lose or draw

Almost certainly. Certainly some of the less sensible posts on the mix get laughed at long and hard. Not sure our moaning has a huge footprint, although Redcafe and RAWK are aware of us.

Anyway, where is that wheels falling off gif?

....or even be behind, or a forward misplacing a pass or failing to hold the ball up!

Batth was very good in his own rustic way. Like Kenny says he has abandoned all thoughts of passing the ball (he actually was starting to do this under Nuno). Just get in the way, head it out and that's job done.

Again I found it odd how much stick a local lad got when he was here. Always gave everything, had at least two really good seasons. Could have flipped his lid after the awful way Saunders treated him but didn't. Did superb work off the pitch. Came to a natural end here and that's fine.

This is a long old sticky patch. Diangana isn’t their player, although I am sure they would want to buy him. Charlie Austin is their only forward with any top flight pedigree. The midfield is dire. The keeper is average at best. Rest of the defence would get torn to pieces. Major major surgery required.

They have massively over performed first half of the season too, they aren’t a particularly good team. Sawyers is good and their wide players were very effective. Since that seems to have dried up somewhat they’ve realised they can’t get away with it all the time.

Think their back four and keeper from tonight would all struggle individually in the Premier League. And they are nowhere near the well oiled machine Sheffield United are.

If you manage to get out of the Championship you need to have a team identity when you do (& try and bring in players who will reinforce that) - we did as have Sheff Utd this year.

Both have done well in year 1 - whether you can go on from there needs other solutions brought in.

Very poor affair really Stoke did a job on Albion who looked toothless. Hegazi and Bartley are a bomb scare, they might not even go up I expect them to but their form is dire.
The quality of the league is atrocious this year the 3 that come up will all need careful surgery.

Two utter shithouse tackles from Sheff Utd so far vs City. Besic deliberately going in late on a player just back from injury and Norwood stopping a one on one.

There's a case that either should be red. No attempt to play the ball on either occasion, it's just being a dick. They'll never fully rid themselves of the Bassett/Warnock toxin.

Not much of an atmosphere there.

Zaha is a scrote, and he should be sent off. You can't poke someone in the eye.

Bournemouth grabbing a win before the relegation 6 pointer on Saturday...

Then they’ll (Villa) have played all the relegation candidates bar West Ham twice. Big trouble! Writings on the wall if they lose tonight and Saturday.

Villa going down still seems to good to be true.
