The January 2025 Transfer Thread

6 months left on contract, doesn’t want to be here. Gets him off wage bill with a kicker. Not sure what’s wrong with that. Better than him gathering dust at Compton

Agree when you throw in everything else, £2.5m as a fee is pretty negligible though to a PL team in 2025, and even more so when you consider we just turn the taps on and off without rhyme or reason

Like you say, better he's just gone regardless

I've been watching videos and reports on Munetsi and I'm still not sure where VP is gonna play him! Looks to have a goal in him though.

Stroke of genius or a disaster is my guess

African midfielder who can't really play football but inexplicably has a freak run of goals?

I've got harrowing flashbacks.

I was wondering that. If Peirara is wedded to 2 CM, who would make way. Wonder if it will be 'horses for courses' depending on the opposition midfield?

It's kind of an exciting, left-field signing though, so I'm curious...

I just hope when he wakes up tomorrow VP at least feels like he has options

One thing I think today does is answer the are Fosun bothered about going down discussion. They clearly are, we are just run by an incompetent idiot surrounding himself with yes men
Sacking O'Neil too. If they weren't bothered about us going down they would have saved their money and left him in place

You just hope they learn. That's twice in three years where they've left someone in charge who was obviously out of their depth, on an awful run and didn't have the CV required for this kind of job, it's put us bang in trouble and they've had to spend extra in the middle of a season which is never ideal.

Keeping Lage in his post was worse than keeping O'Neil but both were ultimately rubbish non-calls. We could all see it.

I thought they would have learnt 2 years ago, fuck about in the Summer, hardly spend anything, then have to pay loads and over the odds in January.
