Based on some of the games I saw last year I could see that as a a rumour with some logic. The FB/WBs so far are expected to contribute to all phases of the game and so having a stronger option behind Semedo would make sense. Liked what I saw of Dexter Lembikisa but it's a big ask to get him playing a major role in the league given the current situation.

Unless they improve their midfield losing at home to this version of Liverpool in the league would be under par I'd say. They haven't won in more games than they have won in the league this season.

I initially said it as a joke, but over the last decade the points that would have finished higher than the team in 11th (or did actually equally the team in 11th, with better goal difference) were (in chronological order): 45, 46, 48, 48, 45, 44, 51, 53, 56, 50. So if you finish in the high 40s, usually you're there or thereabouts.

If we average 4 points from every 3 games over the rest of the season we'll be on 38. Need to find another 3 wins on top of that. Definitely not something I'd put actual money on, but it isn't completely implausible...

or maybe we were interested at all or maybe he was low down on our list of priorities or maybe he was a target and JL has said scrub that one out or maybe be have been caught fucking around in the transfer window again

We don't know but your own answer will be defined by your thoughts on the club and those running it and if you have a specific person your would like to drop the c bomb at any given opportunity.
