So the window is good because 4 of the players not signed in this window are still here? Got it
To be fair it's a good point. At one point we appeared to be doing a Everything Must Go sale (offer does not include Kilman)

To be fair I realised after I typed my comment it’s not relevent to the window. So yeah, totally misplaced comment

Guess I was looking at the squad as a whole compared to last year. But yeah, totally different conversation.

As you were.

What areas are we stronger than last season?
GK? No
LB? No
CB? No
RB? No
CM? No
AM? No
CF? Probably

For everyone disagreeing with those of us who are getting a bit excited about the newest additions, why is it similarly OK to render them as downgrades?

I think to a man/woman we’d have all kept Neves, but I’m not shedding any tears over everybody else. A lot of them weren’t the players they were two years ago, or rarely delivered when they were here anyway.

Yep. Either crap or way past it.

I don't think downgrade is the correct word, I would question whether we've upgraded our first 11? Bellegarde is probably the only 1 that goes straight(ish) in.

A deal that didn't happen, but I'll use it as an example, I'd rather have Che Adams than the current version of Raul, but he wouldn't have improved our first 11

We may not have upgraded the first eleven but we’ve definitely upgraded the squad a fair bit. The problem Wolves have had (even dating back to Nuno) is that competition for places was pants, so it meant we had to suffer out-of-form performances by a handful of individuals week after week.

I don't disagree, I do think you should do that by buying better players than you are currently starting, not better than who is on the bench though. I'm not sure we have

I don’t think Matheus Nunes necessarily improves City’s eleven, but it means they have a different option to bring off the bench and potentially influence games.

All teams do it: rarely does anyone improve their first eleven window after window. They add competition for places, rebuild areas if players have left, or address weaknesses.

The problem Wolves have is they’re doing a huge rebuild in one window that should have started gradually two years ago. That’s the primary risk for me.

I disagree that it's been a particularly good window, but I'm still mildly excited/intrigued by the late signings.

There has to be some joy in this Wolves life we've chosen!

In the context of what I thought would happen this window it's turned out better than expected.

And I'm much happier that we've got Hobbs making calls rather than mendes vicariously through Shi.

At least Hobbs is trying to put wolves first rather than his own pocket.
