What are we doing at wing? With Podence one foot out the door, Sarabia an unknown (he may play there but also may be better is a similar position to how Nunes gets played), Hwang...is Hwang. It leaves Neto as really only one close to starting XI quality and he has injury/form worries. Next best is playing at Stoke this season.

I keep reading posts like this, but I haven't seen a single 'outside' post saying someone is interested in signing him...
But he's currently Roger Johnson-ing it training on his own. JL would have to do a 180 to bring him back into the team.

Think its just a simple manager doesn't want him and/or Podence has asked to leave
He was training with the 1st team before the trip so would presume if there had been a falling out and he would have been with the U21's before we left.

Didnt Lopetegui say he wasn't being used or available to him as the club intends to sell him? I thought that was in one of his press conferences.

The club intend to sell a lot of players (except Kilman) and they are all involved.
On this one, it has to be either Lop's own choice or Podence has asked to leave and the manager made a point about only working with players that want to be at the club

Feel a bit sorry for Podence. I know he’s an irritating prick sometimes, but he was our top scorer last season and then doesn’t even get to join the rest of the squad for pre-season. Without knowing exactly what the arrangement is, it seems a bit harsh.
Also, as much as we criticise him, there will be plenty of takers, I’m sure.
I suspect the last week or so of the transfer window will be a busy one.

Also, don’t think we should be reading too much in to that post about Scott considering there was a post earlier saying we were preparing a “third and final offer”.
