Seems you're wrong.
Eh?

You were saying we should hold out for way more than £5m as a Premier League club wants him so he must be good, I said that's a daft fee for someone of his age, salary and who over the last two years has looked totally done so we should definitely accept it, and we have.

Wrong how?

Nico Gonzalez going to Porto from Barca.

That's what I said in response to "how much should we get for him"

You then proceeded to say I have ridiculous valuations for our players. Then it's confirmed at 5.5mil.
I didn't say that in response to that statement (and I didn't target it explicitly at you either). I thought you were saying we should be holding out for more which I can't agree with (if you didn't mean that, my mistake).

You seemed to take issue with me saying 5million. If you didn't fair enough.

No, not at all.

I think we're robbing them blind at that price, he's done. What I did say was that if we paid that for someone with a similar recent record and profile everyone would be up in arms because it would look like a ridiculous idea.

EXCL: Fulham are in talks to sign Raúl Jiménez. He’s concrete option being considered as new striker.

Negotiations are taking place, waiting to understand Marco Silva’s decision on Al Ahli proposal.

Jiménez, in the list also because Mitrović wants Al Hilal move.
Get whatever we can for him.

Raúl just doesn't have anything left in the tank. I'm not sure what level he'd be good at anymore.

Look like we may well miss out on Retegui as he's off to Genoa.

Looks like we couldn't give them a definite answer on Friday so he went to Genoa.

Good luck to Raul. A sad end to his Wolves career but we did need to move him on. Wonder if Diego is on standby.

John Percy confirming we're still after Alex Scott

Mateo Retegui to Genoa, here we go! Agreement in place with Italian national team striker who joins from Tigre #SerieA

Understand Retegui will undergo first part of medical on Monday then sign in Genova on Tuesday.

Wolves tried — but FFP issues made it impossible.

We keep agreeing to long term payment deals when we sell players a la Jota deal. It's 100% on the owners and no wonder Lopetegui nearly quit.
But it's not true, we draw down on future income through Macquarie and we've also now got a £99m loan facility from the UK Government at way below base rate.

We aren't short on working capital, far from it.

If the transfer policy is to lose out on players because Hobbs wants to be the reincarnation of Jez Moxey, constantly lowballing and waiting for clubs to back down then he's no better than Sellars, and we may as well just let Mendes do everything again.
