Liam saying deal done for Raul, £5m plus add ons
Liam's tweets have gone from "in talks" to "move now agreed" in less than five minutes. Fulham move fast.

Raul Jimenez to leave #Wolves training camp in Portugal and is set for a medical with #Fulham on Monday after a £5.5m fee was agreed. Daniel Podence also expected to leave in this window after staying back in England. Podence training on his own at Compton #wwfc

As good as any striker we’ve had in my lifetime when he was in his pomp. Good on the ball, could beat a man, good in the air, good at penalties and good in front of goal. For a time he was the most complete forward in the premier league.

Sad to see Raul leave, he was the epitome of what was good for a while at Wolves. But there is no room for sentiment in sport, and sometimes those you have loved need to be replaced. Raul is one of those, sadly. I just don't think we'll replace him with anyone close to how good he was for those 2-3 great seasons.

We all knew it would happen in this window but I'm still gutted. Every time I saw his name on the team sheet I had the hope that today would be the day when he finally found his old form.

Those sorts of players cost well upwards of £50m. At one point I'd argue with anyone that they couldn't name 10 better centre forwards in the world than Raul. I doubt I'll ever be able to say that about a Wolves player again.

I can imagine his medical will be more complex than usual.

I realise the time is right for Raul to leave (gutted as I am) and 5.5m is a decent price. Depends how much of that 5.5m we spend on his replacement Che Adams.

I’m wondering why all of a sudden we appear to have been really good at moving players on in a short time, when before we’ve struggled doing it.
Is that down to Hobbs, Julen, or the club in general?
Just have to hope we spend the money wisely on players coming in, I’m assuming there’s players coming in

Or they just walk away and sign someone else, and we're stuck with a player we don't want on silly money.

People are being totally unrealistic with valuations of our players lately. That argument doesn't even hold if you're slating the idea of signing Cresswell for £5m (not that I think he'll cost that), if our manager wants him and thinks he's good enough then surely we just pay it without question.
Seems you're wrong.

Some teams have transfer strategies that don't involve ringing daddy every two seconds to check if it's ok to do something, that helps.

Best of luck to Raul, this last year or so has been awful and glad we're letting go of him...but he has been the best striker for Wolves I've seen in my time following the team (don't worry SEB, you're still my favourite).
