The Incoming Transfers Everywhere Thread: Summer 2023

You'd imagine Jimenez will be moved on while we have a realistic chance of getting some money for him.

Sasa/Silva may not be enough depending on the former's fitness and the latter's development.
Raul and Costa going I’d imagine. Potentially Adama to. So don’t think we will be too overstocked in those departments

Costa will be released, Raul will be going into his last year. Doubt there will be any value in selling him so guess the next 6 months decides whether he’s worth keeping in the squad or getting his wages off the books.

Fabio after going 5 in his first 6 is currently 3 non penalties goals in 24. So bar a drastic turnaround will likely need another loan.

Then there’s only Saša and Cunha who I don’t know if is a CF or not.

So with qustion marks over every single one of them we’ll likely be back in the market in the summer for another one.

I think next six months Cunha will lead the line. Sounds like he has enough about him to do that. Then when Sasa is back we can be more flexible with that.

Not a chance we go for another forward. Too many other issues

If we got rid of Adama and Guedes we’d definitely need another attacker.

Depends what Julen thinks, if he has told them another forward is required they have to back him. I’m hopeful he can get Neto back to what he can be

I’d be trying to sign Traore up to a new deal but I don’t think it’s going to happen unfortunately. Our wide areas are a bit barren goal wise so that should probably be our priority. Cunha, Sasa and Silva will be plenty upfront.

One we've never seen, one has never and continues to not look good enough and the third is perpetually broken. Go into a season with those 3 and we'd be asking for trouble again.

I'd be looking to get whatever we can for Fabio, sunk cost, write it off I'd be treating Sasa as a bonus

Good Lord no.

Adama currently has 2 goals and 0 assists in his last 32 PL appearances.

That's abysmal.

Even with a fit Sasa I think we have to have a contingency for him breaking for a long time. In short, I wouldn't want us to be dependant on him being fit
I think the Cov lad, Cunha and Sasa are all interchangable in any of the front 3 positions.

Not wingers as our width is from our full backs and creation from Moutinho in the middle.

Neto and Pod will be our alternatives, maybe Hwang if we're desperate.

I think it's harsh not to give him an assist for yesterday's winner. He put the cross in, the deflection was just a little bit of fortune. Plenty of deflected goals get given to forwards so why not assists.

Deflected goals are given if the shot was on target. That cross would have gone behind all 3 in the box. Not Johnny, it has officially not been given

Deflected goals have to be on target before the deflection, same would apply for a cross.

I've been a staunch defender of Adama for a few years now, but I have to agree with you/disagree with Wolvensam here.

I think he's peaked for us, probably mentally checked out and potentially on a physical decline anyway.

Unless JL ends up being another manager obsessed with solving the Adama puzzle, I'd get rid ASAP

On the McKennie link, he’s more Bouba than Neves. I wouldn’t ask him to bear the weight of defensive responsibilities in that position.

I’d have him here for cash, but not for RAN going the other way. Been very critical of Aït-Nouri in the past but he was excellent in his cameo yesterday.

I'd be leaving left back well alone, RAN and Bueno give us good competition and options.
Unless of course RAN really wants to leave and his hearts not in staying
