How is including all shots "wrong"?
Because it's false data when you look deeper.

In much the same way that counting COVID cases per country will not tell you what your mortality rate is.

Is it? What about looking deeper falsifies the probabilities?

Mortality rate analogy feels spurious.

Why when you make a point are you always so disinterested in defending it? I just want you to explain your issue with xG since you brand it as irrelevant. I can't see why.
I did and you haven't understood it. Not much more I can do.

Okie doke, then.

Anyway, we don't create enough and we don't finish what we do manage to create.

Gyokeres' record this season isn't to be sniffed at, no matter how he looked in his last game. Second top scorer with 21 goals, and second top assister with 10.

Goals AND assists at that level are a combination you can't really ignore. If we're seriously interested in him and Lop approves then I'm all for it. Especially if he's costing less than £30m (we paid that for Guedes FFS). Him and Sasa should be a potent pair to have available in that No.9 role.

was it David García at Osasuna we were supposedly looking at as a CB in Jan?

Think that was one of the names that came up, yeah. That said, now Julen is in charge we'll probably get loads of lazy links to players he once said "bien hecho" to.

Going to say right now that whoever signs Gyökeres (and it looks like someone will), he'll flop in the Premier League. Far too cumbersome. Hopefully it isn't us.
I’m very much in the same camp, and will also add Sasa into this discussion. I honestly don’t think that he fits into our team or systems.

Break the bank to persuade Ramos or that type of player and that would be the statement of intent we need after 3 sterile seasons

I can easily imagine us breaking the bank for a striker, just not one of the many names that will be mentioned here.

Ramos' release clause is over €100m now.

Much like Enzo Fernandez we missed our chance once he signed for someone else.

Who was that lad we were linked with a while ago? Evanilson or something?
From Porto? Quick heatmap check says he likes to occupy basically the same area of the pitch as Cunha. Probably not what we want.

Lycan may know more.
