The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Chicken. There will natch be veg too, carrots, broccoli etc. Weirdly I do love the crunch of a good water chestnut.

Me too, also like shredded cabbage and sugar snap peas in mine. A prawn stir fry is my favourite.

It's Wednesday so it's Spag Bol night - the kids' choice every Wednesday!

I cooked half a chicken last night (roast with roast potatoes, ate the leg and kept the breast for tonight. I have a fresh crusty loaf and i am having chicken sandwiches, nothing added, just fresh bread, butter and chicken, i'm drooling at the thought.

Not a splash of colmans mustard ??

No sooze i have mustard on my ham sandwiches but chicken is nude with just the bread and butter, ham sandwiches for lunch tommorrow with a slice of firm fresh tomato on top, you can tell it's getting hotter here, although they say rain for tommorrow. (well they would as i have a job working outside)

I have salad cream on my ham now, with a slice of tomato and pepper .

Seeing as the one on Kingswinford high street has become terrible, I'm going to the Sommai Thai Restaurant on Saturday. It's on Mount Pleasant Road in what was The Woodman. Quite looking forward to it.

Anyways, tonight boiled pots, green veg, sea bass dusted with sea salt and cracked black pepper.

I love Thai, not sure what i'd choose from that menu as there's quite a few I like the sound of, but id definitely finish with a Chocolate Bomb.

Tonight its smoked ham and cheese Perogies and a side salad.

Jellybean likes his fish doesn't he :)

Been recently getting into fish. Though last night I did say to myself I must avoid fish for a week or so now, as I keep eating it.
It's healthy, good for you & tasty.
I do tend to have cycles of eating similar things for a while (though it is usually cheesecake or something like that!)
I bought a sack of spuds, so am trying to cook plenty of meals with potatoes to use the spuds up.

I eat more than I used to, only because the neighbour is always off fishing and ends up giving us 4 at a time.

With your spuds you could make a cheese onion and potato pie :)

Lemon mashed potatoes, 2 fried eggs and garden peas.

Smash the lot up together and eat like a pig, be warned it is very very filling.

Steak, grilled tomato, mushrooms, black pudding ( :) ) chunky chips.

Having a go at home made meatballs today. Its great fun and I got the kids involved too - they loved shaping the mixture into balls so I hope it tastes okay once it's cooked.
