The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

how can anyone not like garlic cheese bread?

That Swedish restaurant they went to on Masterchef last night looked amazing, Ekstedt or something? Everything cooked on open wood fires in heavy cast iron pans, proper old school, the chefs seemed good fun too.

Yeah, that place looked amazing.

But mint sauce DOES go with white meat. You also need mint sauce on sheperds pie, not branston pickle.
Listen to this woman. She knows what she's talking about!

Don't mind a bit of cheese with fish if it's in a sauce.

I love cheese and onion crisp sandwiches with salad cream. Not keen on cheese with it though. There's a lad at work who has ham sandwiches every day, and he crunches up salt and vinegar crisps on his. Not keen on that either.

I had to read that first line twice Bear as I don't think I've ever seen that said about me before :icon_lol:

Back to crisp sandwiches, I can see where the lad from work is coming from with his choice of flavour crisps. Salt and vinegar makes the sandwich a bit tangier( especially if you add more vinegar ). For me its generally cheese and onion on cheese, salt and vinegar on corned beef, smokey bacon on their own with brown sauce. Prawn cocktail with ham. Salad cream works on the cheese and crisps one. Never put plain ones on anything. Just eat those like a normal person, out of the bag.

You'll just have to wait a couple of hours, PPB. Have patience.

That's too weird even for me! Tuna and beans together, never .

Disagree. On my last evening in Saudi Arabia, I had in my cupboard, a tin of tuna, a tin of baked beans (I embraced the local cuisine clearly), an onion, some spuds, bit of cheese and some chilli powder.
Fry the onions, mix with tuna, beans and chilli powder, top with cheesy mash, bake in oven for my award winning (well, I congratulated myself on my culinary genius) Saudi Shepherd's Pie.

It's suprisingly delicious.

12oz sirloin, home beer battered onion rings, chunky chips and grilled tomato for me tonight. Can't. Effing. Wait!
