The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Asking Bear to back you up on food is like asking Gerald Ratner to commend you on your PR.

Lobster isn't fish though really, is it.

I'm not sure why I'd be eating that in the first place!

I wouldn't have a crisp sandwich as I am not 11. Either onion or pickle with cheese (not both), red onion preferably.

Because its like a late night just back in from the pub food.

Have you ever had a crisp and cheese sandwich ??

Not wittingly, no! I'm not sure why I would. I've never had ice cream and sausages. Or chilli con carne and milk.

If I were making a cheese sandwich I'm not sure why I'd need to add crisps. I could eat a bag of crisps alongside I suppose, but they're not going inside the sandwich, there really is no need.

If having conventional taste buds and sticking with what world renowned chefs say is boring then I guess it is boring. Though I do save thousands of pounds a year on not buying massive vats of sauces. :)

Mint sauce unequivocally does not go with white meat at all. Salad cream doesn't go with anything, other than a wall and some wallpaper.

See I'm with you on this. I do have numerous debates with a particular friend. For example, baked beans do not go with mashed potato.
Certain things absolutely do not go together. Mint sauce & white meat is one.

Salad cream is delish with cheese though. But rank on fish finger sandwiches...:sneaky:

I might stretch to egg fried rice and curry sauce if there was a chinese on the way home from the pub.

Baked beans absolutely do go with mash. Bangers Beans and Mash is a fucking classic!!

Beans don't go with anything for me, I loathe them. That is just me though.

Because its nice to crunch into. But you have to smash the pkt of crisps into bits then mix in brown sauce, then spread onto the cheese. Eating a bag alongside is not the same.

If it's all the same, I think I'll pass on that one.

Take no notice Paddy, they know not what they am on about!

Of course beans go with mash. They also go nice smashed IN the mash so that it turns a nice orange.
