The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

OP said no pics, but seeing as this isn't what I'm having for dinner tonight, so we've already gone off topic...

800g loaf, six pork loin steaks in a piri piri marinade, about 20 odd onion rings and some coleslaw. Oh, and some low fat margerine...

Good god !!

Might as well go the whole hog and put a chateaubriand fillet in a loaf. Or just make an enormous beef wellington and eat it like a pastry slice.

Back to 'normal' food - tonight's was a home made shepherds pie (no pic as I've eaten it!)

For quickness, plus not in the mood for cooking, homemade meatballs with homemade spicy tomato sauce ( both of which have been pulled from the freezer ) Just the spaghetti to do.

Talking of meatballs...

(Last one, I promise)

I think we need some footage of the consummation!

Whats for dinner tonight ??

Whatever Mr Penguin can knock up.

Last night, chicken pie & veg.
Night before, spag bol.

I've not been eating the healthiest/most balanced diet recently & am trying to improve my eating a little. Anyone have any tasty/relatively easy tips for good healthy nutritious & appetising meals?
NB I don't eat red meat (but will eat veg mince).

Pie and mash! With mushy peas and gravy.

That sounds awfully normal for you, Bear! Surely you've got a bizarre condiment to throw in the mix too!

I do a nice grilled pork loin with red pepper pasta, no oils or fats involved. Carbs make some people go fat though so they avoid pasta.

Lunch wise I make my own soups these days, you can lamp anything in there (notwithstanding Bear's weird goat, salad cream and lima bean concoctions that he would come up with). Great for leftovers too.

Ketchup all over the gravy based pie.

No nothing else on there except salt and pepper.

Maybe a bit of English Mustard to go with the steak pie. Not usually though.

When you mash your mash, what do you put in it, butter, marg, milk, cream, pepper or what ??
