The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Moroccan lamb and couscous is awesome!

I'd quite happily eat it everyday. Perfect food.

Maybe it was just the lamb was overcooked but it was dry and chewy. plus cous-cous is like eating warm grit anyway.

I understand where you are with couscous - I am personally not a big fan of it texturally. So if I do a Moroccan or Arabic spiced dish I tend to use boiled rice and then make sure it is nice and dry by giving it a little fry just before serving.

Cook moroccan lamb low and slow and it should still be juicy and fall apart.

You do realise you're supposed to cook cous cous don't you?

Had a turkey dinner with all the trimmings yesterday so tonight it's leftovers.

Weird. I also had roast turkey yesterday.

With plenty of gravy and mint sauce before anyone asks. And English mustard.

Mint sauce plastered over mine too Bear. Bloody lovely it was. Mint sauce on stuffing is ace.

No. Bread with a roast dinner is weird.

Though I always finish off a full fry up with a round of bread and butter placed face down over all the bits and bobs at the end, and mop all the sauces up with that.

No its not. When you are left with mint sauce gravy on your plate and still have mustard left its a great way to clean up, I used to just lick my plate but hubby found it rude.

I just scoop up the gravy with my fork if I still want some of it.
