The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

It was only a tiny bit just to give a bit of tomato flavour.

Who am I to say that's an odd combination when tonight i'll be having ketchup/mustard on me blue cheese. Some would say that is just wrong.

Just did chicken cooked in chilli and garlic butter, served on a bed of quinoa, feta cheese, fresh tomatoes, red onion and lemon zest.

A very summer-y meal. Bloody gorgeous.

Sounds nice. Don't think i've ever had quinoa.

What's wrong with that?

It's a Greek recipe I've been wanting to try for a while - never had quinoa before.

Not dissimilar to couscous. It was mega nice mixed in with everything else.

Hubbys turn to cook so have left it up to him to decide. Seems i'll be having roast beef, mash, yorkshire pud, baked onion, peas and carrots and homemade horseradish.

Are you going to Greece soon as you are cooking Greek cuisine? Do you still use your slow cooker?
Yeah, in September. Hence the sudden interest.

I've used the slow cooker once in the last 6 weeks or so, and that was only because I had to get the kids fed and in bed early. I hardly ever use it now.

Nice one Langers.

Same here. I remember going mad for an Actifrier and think ive used that about 6 times in all. Also a meat slicer that is huge, and have used about twice as im scared of taking me fingers off! These kind of things take up far too much cupboard space.

Just cooked Shrimp Saganaki for the first time ever and what a triumph!

Tasted it for the first time in Crete a few weeks ago and thought I would have a bash at making it. So easy and so delicious!

Making Hasselback potatoes (thanks to Paddy!) with pork belly and roasted cherry tomatos tonight

I'm having seafood lasagna and salad but I wished I was having belly pork too.
