The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

They smell fookin ace. Used tarragon, thyme, rosemary and a bit of Italian seasoning. Those aromatics should go well with what is in the Marengo. Good slug of coarse salt and some freshly ground pepper. Mmmmmmmmmm.

all those herbs you are mentioning would fit right into that dish for sure

Hasselbacks are officially superb. I will play around with herbs and cooking temp to perfect it, but oh yes, that is a fucking keeper.

Just watched Rick Stein visiting Bologna. Love the Italian food. It really puts our staple dishes to shame.

Bologna is food heaven. Undoubtedly the most indulgent part of Italy food wise though.

It is definitely somewhere to visit if you get the chance. Reasonably priced compared to Rome, Milan, Venice etc.

Indian, Italian, Mexican and Thailand is my favourite kitchens

Went on a business trip to visit some companies in Cittidella (fly into Venice) and had a 4 course meal including wine for under €25. And it was outstanding as you can imagine Italian family restaurants would be.

Even the simple market cafes and restaurants looked fantastic.

Last night I had pork in cider (yes honestly)

Easily the most 'Carry On' meal title ever :)

Just had a really nice slow cooked lamb curry, with butternut squash, courgettes and tomatoes.

It was.

I had minted lamb-burgers yesterday too. Love those.

What with, mash?

Im looking forward to me cheeseburger. Haven't had one in yonks. Think i'm gonna go with blue cheese on it.

Normally yes bit instead I had them in soft cobs with a few onions and a tiny bit of ketchup/mustard.

It was only a tiny bit just to give a bit of tomato flavour.
