The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

That sounds great, and the oysters and clams, hmmm it's been far too long since I had some shellfish

I'll have some for you aswell Newbridge :) Never been able to do oysters just can't swallow them.

I'm jealous, I bloody love everything that comes out the sea. I know a lot of people struggle with oysters and I can understand. I never have them cooked. Rick Steins my favourite tv chef, although reading his biography put me off him a bit.

Kippers and poached eggs for our brecko tomorrow, then a chicken dinner.

The blue crab, scallops and lobster were delicious.

Not thought about me brekky or tomorows dinner yet, still savouring me tea :) Enjoy ya kippers .

It'd probably help!

I like prawns but not king size. I've never had crab, scallops, oysters or lobster. A lot of it seems too chewy and rubbery for my pallet.

Cooked correctly, seafood and shellfish should be sans rubbery/chewy.

If your squid is like elastic bands you cooked it for too long. Scallops and lobster should never end up rubbery at all. You would have to annihilate a lobster to get that effect.

Newbridge - I am a big Stein fan too, although he sometimes comes over as a bit of a sanctimonious pillock. Getting very heavily into Simon Hopkinson cooks on Food channel at the moment. His bearnaise sauce recipe was so simple and looked fucking AWESOME.

Today's joy is a nice rib of beef. Having been at New Cross with micro until 3 this morning I figure we all deserve a good feed.

Well breakfast was fresh fruit on skewers with a vanilla and honey youghurt dip. Dinner is whatever fish we catch today :fished:

Last night was a 400g Black Angus rump, chips and salad. Only $A14 (£7) too!

Flounder and steamed vegetables. When really I'd love a big fuck off juicy steak, chips, onion rings and a chip butty.

Sounds bummy but,Crab Cakes, coleslaw,salad :(

A spot of lunch.

I must admit the seafood in Oz is bloody great.

Nice piece of Pork today. Should get some great crackling as well.

Love that from Essington Fruit Farm - tend to go once every so often just to have the pork (and crackling) dinner
