The Goggle Box Thread

Really enjoying season 2 of Killing Eve. Some really creepy moments in it!

No idea when it's on in the UK but it's worth a watch and definitely as good as season 1.

Must be on soon as the BBC are showing teaser trailers at the mo.

Once it's finished being broadcast in the US they're going to release it as a box set on iPlayer.

Is he second series as good as the first, looking forward to it now although I was worried it might not live up to the first

Riviera season one - it has all the ingredients to be good, but it just goes nowhere and then goes ridiculous.

Wife is away and have spent all weekend binge watching Spooks that I haven't seen in years :)

You spelt porn wrong.

Started watching The Punisher as someone my Mrs works with recommended it. My expectations were low as the comic book kind of stuff doesn't really do anything for me but been pleasantly surprised so far, suppose with him not really being a 'superhero' in terms of powers and such it has to be a bit more grounded than the other Marvel stuff, still fairly unrealistic in action sequences mind. Found the start a bit odd as it feels like it starts after a good story arc has already taken place and there isn't much back story to fill you in early on but it's starting to build a picture now and make a bit more sense. Still feels a bit of a shame though, like they could have made another series that preceded the first episode.

yes they did make another series that preceded it, Daredevil season 2.

Really enjoying Years and Years. It's like a more fully-formed Black Mirror. Very fast paced and scarily plausible.

Gentleman Jack - not sure about this one. I normally really like Sally Wainwright stuff - Happy Valley especially - but this isn't quite hitting the spot.

The battle for Chernobyl is a great documentary,it's on YouTube, footage from the time, interviews wth the journalist who broke the news,it's also the one they show on the bus on the way from Kiev on the trip to Pripyat, everyone on the bus had seen it before, but as you get closer to the exclusion zone,it does sort of concentrate the mind and makes you think shit,I'm going there now.
Chernobyl 3828 is not bad either,it's an ex liquidator talking of what went on,and actual footage of workers on the roof clearing highly radioactive graphite rods with "protection" of paper face masks and rubber gloves!

Chernobyl Diaries on the other hand, is absolute guff...

Chernobyl wasn't gory tonight but give it a miss if you're animal lover. (Not in the Welsh sense, I might add).

Just caught up with it. Blimey. Has to be the most powerful and challenging tv series I have seen in a long time. Makes threads look like rainbow

Good Omens was made available today. I like Neil Gaiman's stuff but it'll be interesting to see how they've made the script suitable for TV as the story doesn't really lend itself that way.

I'm just on Ep2. I re-read the book last weekend. It's shorter than I remember. Probably why it's only 6 episodes.
