The Goggle Box Thread

There's a new one in the US I'm watching called Roadies. Created and written by Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous). All about the road crew on a stadium tour. Mostly written from real life experiences too. Very Almost Famous in the dialogue and feel so if you liked that you'll like this.

Starring Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots and Rafe Spall (who is excellent).

The first couple of episodes were a little slow but it's really found it's feet now as they flesh the characters gers out more, and is getting really good now by episode 6.

Anyone that has been in or around a band will really like it. And it has some good musical cameos too. Lindsey Buckingham the other week and John Melencamp this week, both playing/singing in it too.

If you can download it it's definitely worth checking out. No news of any UK airing yet but it's Showtime so should get one.
By the way, this is on Amazon Prime already as they nicked it from under Sky's nose, who usually get all Showtime's stuff.

All 8 episodes are on there already including yesterday's that aired in the US.

I heartily recommend it to everyone. It's been fantastic. Though give it until at least episode 3 or 4 as the first couple are focused on Imogen Poots a bit too much, but it quickly turns into an excellent ensemble piece. Especially once Rafe Spall turns up.

Sky are launching Sky Sports Mix tomorrow on channel 407. Will show various Sports for free. To kick off it has England v Pakistan on the cricket, live game in the Championship on Friday and the Belgium F1 qualifying and race. Loads of other shit as well.

Started watching Trapped, an Icelandic crime drama set in winter that's extremely bleak and dark. Some fantastic camera work showcases the amazing landscape and the storyline seems pretty solid after the first couple of episodes.

Selasi was bang out of order to not give credit to Candice for saving his drizzle cake though.

Watched episode one tonight, really enjoyed it

I'm all over it!

Took an instant liking to Selasi, boy did me proud on the first episode, Val is annoying as fuck!

Won't be able to watch it till sunday afternoon here in the US! Managed to watch all of last seasons this past few weeks, quite enjoyed it, looking forward to seeing the new 1!

The missus loves Bake Off (so do I really). I pretend not to be that interested but my drooling over the cakes gives it away a bit.

I hate reality TV shows, and I have no interest whatsoever in baking. So in theory I should REALLY hate a reality TV show about baking.

But Bake Off is great!

And I know it's now against the law to like Mel & Sue, but, hey... I like Mel & Sue. Sue can ask a woman to "show me your purple ring" on prime time TV and get away with it.

Can't abide the Bake off. Bland contestants, two presenters about as funny as Mrs Brown's Boys and Paul fucking Hollywood, if there was ever a face that needs a slap it's on this scouse twat. The BBC fawn over this show like it's the sequel to a Marvel film, this and Strictly are abysmal TV.
