The Goggle Box Thread

I've never watched Bake-Off and don't intend to. Cookery programmes in general bore me. I don't do cakes and puddings so it's just a waste of time. Never watched Strictly either as I can't abide ballroom dancing or Bruce Forsyth.

I'm going to start watching Stranger Things soon. I'm really looking forward to it.

Now that I have access to a plethora of box sets via Kodi, I am going to have to make a list of what I want to watch.

Off the top of my head:
Stranger Things
11.22.63
Parks & Recreation
Justified
Homeland (If I can be bothered to watch any more of it - I'm not sure if I can even remember what season I last watched, maybe 3?)

Justified is great. Homeland is well worth it, it dipped a bit after season three but the last season was brilliant.

Did you watch Breaking Bad T-Boss?

Did you watch Breaking Bad T-Boss?

I watched the first 4 or 5 episodes but didn't think it lived up to the hype so started watching something else instead. I probably should go back and watch some more seeing as so many people think it is amazing. The missus wasn't really a fan either though so would have to watch it while she's at work.

Just out of interest T-man did you go with the TT tutorials or load your own packages on Kodi?

I will repeat what I have said previously, that I thought Stranger Things was outstanding.
I too struggled with the first series of Breaking Bad, but kept with it as so many people pestered me to. I have just finished season two, and am glad I stayed on. That said I would still classify it as very enjoyable rather than ground breaking, but will reserve final judgement until I've finished it.

I initially went with the TT one but it wasn't working great (I think my shitty wi-fi played a part there) so I wiped it. I now have a speedier broadband connection but decided to load my own add ons as I didn't need half the stuff that came with the build.

Season one is nothing more than an opening, introducing you to Walt and his plight while giving you enough to work with to build up some empathy. Same with Jesse and to some extent Skyler, Hank etc.

By the end of the series none of them are recognisable whatsoever from how you first encounter them, get onto season two and that's where all the magic starts to happen.

Feared the worse for Homeland after DL went but it actually got better!

I know, he was absolutely amazing throughout and I wondered how they'd continue with him gone but they did it exceptionally well. Easily a series I'll go back and watch although I will miss RF as well as he was a character that grew on me and I went from not liking him at all to really enjoying watching him.

This man speaketh the truth.....

I'll go back to Breaking Bad to give it another chance. I've just started watching 11.22.63 though, and will then be watching Stranger Things so it'll have to wait.

There's only 8 episodes of Stranger Things so you should rattle through that in no time. BB needs a little more dedication.

New Red Dwarf. Not sure what to think of that. Looks ok, but a bit corny/obvious jokes.

Watched the start of the new/old 'Are you being Served'

They really shouldn't do this - and canned laughter is not required

If it's not funny then it's not funny (It isn't)
