Beyond incompetence, just read the match report apparently it was very unplayable from about 60th minute. Only about 4 minutes were left. Can only think it was at a point where the ball wasn’t even moving on the ground. Reality is you go off wait for the weather to clear and ground staff to drain pitch and play out the last few minutes.

I don't know if it's just down to geography, tribalism, culture or algorithms but on the socials it seems like every link to the Greenwood story is chock full of sympathy and support, to the level that it's fucking sickening, and will doubtless be the same here.

It's difficult because on the one hand I'm in favour of redemption and second chances, but equally strongly I believe that people that display those behaviours should very much be excluded from careers where adulation is pretty much a given.

Obviously making no judgments on Anthony's guilt or innocence, though must admit by instinct tends towards believing it. Greenwood is, without a shadow of a doubt, a violent, abusing misogynist, technicalities or not

Certain levels of crime should mean no return, yes build your life in something else but playing football again not for me. Reason being you’re constantly in the public and publicly representing an organisation a lot of which do outreach programs to the vulnerable so a certain degree of trust is required to represent those organisations.
Still find it very distasteful that the likes of Lee Hughes and Luke McCormick were allowed back into football.
With Greenwood he’s not been cleared by a jury he’s had his case dropped for various reasons. Pretty much leaves you in a situation of yes he’s not guilty in the eyes of the law but any decent person knows the reality.
