That’s 9 you can pretty much guarantee and covers all regions. Can’t see them picking Wembley, Spurs and Arsenal. Also can’t see them pick both Manchester clubs. Could see MK dons being used ahead of us too and Elland road for the Yorkshire representative.

Oooh interesting.

Well Scotland will be Hampden Parkhead Ibrox, chuck St James Park into that and Stadium of Light and Riverside. Ireland can only be Aviva and maybe Croke Park. Old Trafford, Anfield, Etihad, (Bramley Moore white elephant if it gets built (yeah - right)). Villa Park, City Ground, expanded Leicester ground and then Pride Park or Molineux I guess. MK Shit stadium is in the equation with six years to finish the top tier (vomits). St Mary's is a possible, and there was always talk of Plymouth getting their ground upgraded to get football in a tournament into the South West in the old world cup bid, but Ashton Gate is bigger and modern now (further personal vomitting). London will obvs be Wembley, Emirates, Spurs stadium, West Ham freebie ground.

All of which assumes that it is England Scotland Ireland with no Wales, otherwise you add in the Millenium, and Cardiff City ground, and probably Swansea central.

Plus I forgot Elland Road, Hillsborough and Bramall Lane.

They'd use one of the East Mids grounds. Was Forest at Euro 96, but would imagine it'd be Leicester now with their build to 40k. Apparently there is a gaelic sports ground in Belfast the Northern Irish would try to get included, but it'd need a fair bit of renovation.

Forgot the East Midlands. They might put a few smaller grounds in for the shit games where they wouldn’t sell 45k+ tickets. Just based on where games have been played then that could be us, Riverside, Elland road etc.

Euro 2028 will be in the UK and Ireland as nobody else has bid. 32 of UEFA's 55 affiliates will be competing.
Totally undeserved after the debacle at Wembley last year, but if no else puts in then 🤷🏼‍♂️...

Will probably get spun as a brexit benefit at some point, along the lines of we couldn’t have done it while being in the eu

Casement Park has been kicked about for about 10 years and is a planning nightmare, approval was given for a 35,000 stadium last year at £110million.
But there are numerous planning objections as its in the centre of a residential centre in Belfast.
Also a political football that has been kicked about between Unionist and Nationalists as well.
Would be very surprised if this is up and running by presumably 2026 when decisionson grounds would have to be made.

Seems if all 5 nations are involved they will still have to qualify.

Final and semis to be at Wembley.

Just seen Mike Dean is retiring at the end of the season. From the amount Sky Sports have been tweeting about him over the past couple of days I'd thought he'd died.

Turkey and Russia (just as a political point to try and fuck things up) have both put their hand up about bidding for 2028, so not a done deal yet.

Russia will get told to fuck off tonight. Turkey shouldn't be much of an opposition really.

Especially as UEFA has already told us we'll get it if we let Spain and Portugal have a clear run at the 2030 WC

But it should be the other way round. Spain had it in '82. We haven't hosted since 1966.
Probsbly be a waste of time anyway, 2030 is 100 years anniversary of first World Cup a Uruguayan/Argentinian bid will be hot favourites, (also will be 16years since South America had it), Uk/Ireland looked at 2030 and didn't fancy it after a feasibility study.
