Bent Kevin Lynch blew up for full time once when we played away at Bolton right near the end of the season as it was bobbling around their six yard box and Scott Taylor put it in. No goal, they won 2-1 and finished two points above us to make the playoffs while we finished 7th. 23 years later on and I'm still seething about that.

Also had a fan run on the pitch to "attack" him. Ran from the South Bank and I think a mixture of being knackered from running to the half way line and seeing Rennie was quite a big chap and would snap him in half....he backed out and allowed the stewards to catch up

I’m sure I remember David Platt having an overhead kick goal disallowed for Villa once because the ref blew for half time. My memory isn’t the most reliable though so there is a good chance I could have completely made that up!

I thought it was for Juventus but I'm sure he did have one disallowed as the ref blew for full time.

I've not seen Howard Webb's interview on MNF mentioned on here anywhere. A limited insight into the VAR process, with audio from the ref, AR, VAR and AVAR. They even included a decision the VAR got wrong (but not any really high profile mistakes!).

The error they have picked was chosen simply because the audio shows an error that Webb can say “we will learn from”. The ones they aren’t showing are where the real cuntery lies, and everybody knows it.
