All that time being pestered by a scarecrow...

I don't think they claim to have invented it as it came from a guy watching someone play a game throwing stones into holes.

Fooks sake, I am spending my Friday night going down a cornholing rabbit hole!!

On that theme, Newcastle fans spent most of their League Cup weekend drinking cans in Trafalgar Square and both Boro/Sunderland are planning similar if they make the playoff final. Er lads, there are lots of pubs in London. Try a few of them.

A very weird regionalised thing.
I’ve not that long realised it’s best to get out of the centre of London when down there. Greenwich, Richmond, Crouch End are just a few that offer a better drinking experience than sitting in Leicester Sq.

I've got no idea what's going on with this thread over the last 2 pages, maybe I am out of touch with the modern world.🥺

To be fair to the ref he blew the whistle after the ball got initially cleared out of the box. He never even looked at the bloke smashing the ball back towards goal.

Non-story.

Which is the bloody point and he blew it after he'd kicked it
He'd already played past the allotted injury time and he blew after he saw the ball cleared upfield. Just because the guy happened to smash it in from 35 yards doesn't mean it should be given.

It does if you aren't looking and blow after he's kicked it. No way he blows if he's looking. It's terrible officiating

It took him about 5 seconds to blow the whistle when he’d already planned to do it. If he’d just done it straight away without the big performance then it wouldn’t be an issue.

The correct decision wasto blow as soon as the ball was cleared, but by faffing about he created a problem. You see refs over here allow corners in the dying seconds but then pretty much blow up as soon as any contact is away from goal to prevent these scenarios!

It’s the same as Clive thomas denying zico a goal at the 1982 World Cup. Time was up and the corner was cleared so that’s half time. Referee completely and utterly correct.

It's utterly horrific refereeing but equally within his rights. Tough one.

Wrong on every level including the Thomas year
