I think that just substitutes one mistake for another. Jimenez wasn't overturned because it wasn't 'clear and obvious' before that you had Mahrez diving and VAR deciding that the ref had made a mistake when City got a penalty against us. Both were incorrect decisions but coming from opposite interpretations. Only the team finishing in 18th would have a clear case. 19th and 20th it would be very hard to argue that what Everton did made a difference (unless Everton had taken six points off both and then finished in 16th with a team in 17th who finished less than six ahead who had taken nothing from their games with Everton - which is such a huge stretch it would get laughed at).Southampton's lawyers would be just taking their money off them. How could they even build a case?
