The ground certainly needs more than a lick of paint. In an ideal world they would pay off the container business that uses their land in the northwest of the car parks and stick up a new build 90,000 seater before knocking Old Trafford down as that would be the cheapest option. Probably still a £500m job, minimum.

The container business leases it I think and so would have to be bought out I guess.

Might have to supply an alternate site. Shouldn’t be a huge issue. Swathes of land out towards Warrington you could use

2 match ban for Ronaldo for knocking a phone out of an Everton fan's hand.

I presume that ban will only start if he signs for an English team

I doubt that will be enough to relieve Boehly of stupidity if he decides to go for it.

Couple of early potential bidders for Utd. Big one is Apple

iTrafford Stadium incoming

They'll move Utd into the iLeague. Not cross compatible with other teams, so they'll win it every year...

I really can’t fathom why a company like Apple would be interested in owning a football club.

There will be more banter than any of us could handle!

Also excuse me Piers but my good buddy Richard came out with this utter drivel on UK TV in September 2013, that is less than 10 years ago. Get your facts straight buster.
