You missed or ignored “I don’t want to sign him” then? Just because he’s a fading light that has been massively overpaid by MU doesn’t mean he’s suddenly become a poorer player than Costa.

I’d back him to score the header Costa missed in his first game and the chance at Palace. As I said don’t want him and I’d imagine there’s no chance we will even be interested so we’ll all be happy.

Trouble is do you spend billions on United with a fairly shit side and a stadium needing £100s of millions spent or do you buy Liverpool for probably less with a significantly better squad, Champions League and a ground essentially finished when the Anfield Road project is finished.

Ground, training ground and squad all need work and that's before you get to the debt they owe.

Which I imagine is Utd's and not the Glazers.

I don't think the club is worth that much with all that debt.
