The ground had an out of date safety cert, so the club secretary was always in the firing line.

Looks like they’re trying to push a new revamped Champions league by 2024, with a very much closed shop emphasis on the table. Plus they’ll also push to play games at weekends instead of weekdays.

Interesting to see the criteria for qualification would be. Apparently it’s being pushed by Juventus chief exec, can see why PSG, Juve, Real, Barca, Bayern and Dortmund might want this format but can see bigger resistance from the PL clubs.
 
The PL would stop it dead as it's essentially the back door to the Super League which has been shelved as many times as May's Brexit deal.

The greed of the big clubs needs to be checked about now. Too many of them looking our for themselves and wielding too much power.
 
Bolton paid the non playing staff and the Safety Cert was reinstated but...



Due to a critical failure of the stadium’s IT system, Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship match against Ipswich Town at the University of Bolton Stadium is in doubt.

Engineers will be working through the night to resolve this issue and the club will provide an update at the earliest available opportunity.
