Karius results came from a medical centre in Boston heavily funded by JW Henry. Make of that what you will, but this is from a country where the President dictates his own medical notes.
It's certainly an odd one. I can only assume that no-one saw it as it paints Liverpool's medical staff as incompetent if they did. If they knew he was concussed that's negligent to both player and team, to not conduct the head injury assessment is negligent in their medical duties.
I don't like the insinuation that the owner has made up this assessment as an excuse. The doctor in question is a serious authority on this subject, one the Americans lead on very well (they are miles ahead of any other sport).
The game is stopped for head injuries now and if there is any doubt they should be off the field for a HIA and a sub could quite easily be brought on in place until the player is back/ ruled out and I'm glad the Yanks have said he was likely concussed as it should wake the authorities up to do something.
