The Football News Thread 2017/18 - everything not Wolves

Karius results came from a medical centre in Boston heavily funded by JW Henry. Make of that what you will, but this is from a country where the President dictates his own medical notes.

It's certainly an odd one. I can only assume that no-one saw it as it paints Liverpool's medical staff as incompetent if they did. If they knew he was concussed that's negligent to both player and team, to not conduct the head injury assessment is negligent in their medical duties.

I don't like the insinuation that the owner has made up this assessment as an excuse. The doctor in question is a serious authority on this subject, one the Americans lead on very well (they are miles ahead of any other sport).

The game is stopped for head injuries now and if there is any doubt they should be off the field for a HIA and a sub could quite easily be brought on in place until the player is back/ ruled out and I'm glad the Yanks have said he was likely concussed as it should wake the authorities up to do something.

The elbow to the head was very clear - think I posted a link on the matchday thread at the time.

It was to the TV watchers but may not have been to the medical staff in the stadium.

No, nor the referee. Typical Ramos, he'd go to prison for doing that anywhere else.

The Yaya Toure situation gets even crazier, his agent suggests that many shamans will be placing an 'African curse' on Guardiola that will stop him winning the Champions League. Also (jokingly, I think) says Toure is willing to play for any of the other top 6 for £1 a week to play against Pep. Doubt anyone would be interested anyway, of course.

There is either no winding up order or they have historical payments outstand, not just Friday's payment.

I posted this around two years ago:

It might all be perfectly innocent but apparently this guy is involved somewhere along the line:

Prominent in a collapsed takeover of Everton where the funds never turned up and subsequently brokered the sale of Reading to Zingarevich which went south (again, lots of promises of money, no actual real life cash) and ended with them in a lot of financial shit. He also apparently took a cut when the club was sold to the Thais who are also nowhere near as rich as was originally made out.

Looks like we're gonna need a "The Crazy World of Dr. Tony" thread...

Sky sources (so 50/50 on being true) Wyness suspended after he told the good Doctor no funds to pay the tax man and if he can't pay it then the club will have to file for Administration. So suspended for pointing out the barrel of shit they are in.

Villa release statement "tax will be paid in 24/48 hours"

Sky - Villa are trying to negotiate paying in installments.

Oh christ, they are completely fucked.

The season that keeps on giving, and it just won't stop!

Hmmm

Slap in a low bid for Grealish from a distressed seller, and then "Afobe" him on for real value next week???
