So Blackburn could be in with a chance for their magnificent efforts!

Leeds were semi-finalists in that era, don't forget. I am sure all it really means is 3 plus whichever one of Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs has missed out. Contemptible stuff.
Many candidates, but ofcourse the club with the most general financial appeal will be selected. It would be a farce no matter.

The main one for me is how it will affect Italy. AC, Inter, Juventus would be always safely guaranteed.

Will be like in America, no relegations. I don't see how anyone can break that trio, if they end up top 3 I don't know who would be the selected one. Based on money I suppose Roma or Napoli.

I doubt it'll happen.

Milan have been making noises about this for a while, Gazzetta (where the story is from) are tight with the club, I wouldn't believe it any more than anything AS print about Real Madrid.

I believe they're 'stupid' enough to do it if it serves some of the right people/clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial ·

Confirmed: Paul Mitchell, Head of Recruitment, will be leaving the Club at a future date to be mutually agreed.

I don't think for a minute he'd drop to our level but it would be good to get him at Wolves.

Why is he leaving? He hasn't been there that long. His recruitment at Southampton was very good too.

Southampton cap all away tickets at £20 for the new Premier League season..

And old customers like me who are getting it half price

I keep meaning to call them but can't be arsed. Maybe I should.

Virgin Media are funding that move

They're also giving all home fans a free drink for the first game and putting coaches on to take travelling fans to Old Trafford for that game.

I wonder if our new shirt sponsors will make equally generous deals for the Molineux faithful and the away fans.

Sky/FA/PL whatever are cutting the number of PL games foreign TV can show, down from 225 to 205 this season. My provider's had to double what they paid for the previous 3 years too (for the next 3 years).

And no championship/L1/FA Cup sorted yet.

I'm not happy.

Can someone explain how the League Cup drse works

Cardiff play Bristol Rovers tonight in the final game. Draw has been made already for the 2nd Round.

If Cardiff win they play Scunthorpe
If Bristol Rovers win they play Chelsea

Bristol City will play either Scunthorpe or Chelsea, depending on who wins the game tonight!

They will be you you will have to pay them back for the drink, so at the time your £2.50 coffee will be free but by December you will owe them £250.

Apparently it's because of seeding:

"The EFL Cup Round Two draw was made with 25 seeded teams being drawn against 25 unseeded teams. Seeds were based on last season’s final table standings. With one fixture to be played on Thursday night, Cardiff City will be a seeded team should they progress and Bristol Rovers a non-seeded team should they progress.

Having finished in 18th position last season, Bristol City’s status as a seeded or unseeded team is dependent upon which of Cardiff City or Bristol Rovers progress, and so consequently they have been drawn in two possible ties until tomorrow’s fixture is completed."
